It looks good. You will however get X10 times more detail with Pixinsight. Deepskystacker just cant handle stacking correctly and that is why its free.

Wait i see you have got Pixinsight LE. Process your image according to this tutorial and you will see a major difference in your image. When i first started using Pixinsight one week ago, it was very overwhelming.

This guy saved me loads of time and money with his tutorial. I don’t believe in paying for tutorials and funding people who want to get rich quick schemes like some Pixinsight tutorials do.

Ah, thanks for that. I've been getting more and more frustrated with DSS but I was a bit intimidated by Pixinsight LE.. I'll certainly give it a go and reprocess...then post the result if it looks better :)

I promise you Davide, give that tutorial a go and your jaw will drop with the results.

If you got a problem stacking your initial images for processing letme know as i dont think its in the tutorial. It is one script thou in Pixinsight and you ready.

I do have a problem stacking the initial images...Deep Sky Stacker only stacks a small percentage of the frames even though I delete the naff ones, and I can't seem to change the settings to make it stack more frames. I am going to give the tutorial you posted a try and I'll reprocess an image in it to see what happens...just as soon as I turn on my computer :)

Nahh i meant use "ImageIntegration" in Pixinsight to stack your photos if they are DSLR images only. Dont waste your time with DeepSkyStacker again.

I'm not sure the LE version has image integration, but I am still feeling my way around it.

I am not sure what the LE version is. Anyway if it's a lighter version of the full version the investment in the full version is a must have for any astrophotographer.
