Orion Atlas Refurb Service?

I have an Orion Atlas mount which I recently discovered has a substantial amount of slop in the Dec axis.  This may be the result of having crashed the camera into the pier a couple of times.  The result is that I can get great tracking on several shots (I have gone as long as 20 minute exposures at 952 mm FL) and suddenly have one or more that give me a double image.

Astro-Baby has a lovely article (here: http://www.astro-baby.com/EQ6%20rebuild%20guide/EQ6%20Strip%20Down%20Home.htm ) on tearing down, rebuilding and super-tuning this mount, but I am sure that I do not have all the needed tools, and that this procedure would be a more intense test than my mechanical skills have ever gone through.

Does anyone know of a reputable place to get this unit refurbished/super-tuned?

If you lived in the UK it would be easy to answer. Have you tried a US based forum ?

I am wondering the same thing. I am about to pull the trigger on a scope and mount and I am trying to understand my refurb/repair options.

As far as I know there are a number of people in the US who do a rebuild/hypertune.  It might be quite pricey though.  Your best bet would be to post on the CN forum I would think.
