Here's my first major attempt at a DSO, my previous attempts have been M42 and M45. 

This is a 45min exposure composed 200 second subs, + Darks and Flats

Equipment used:

Canon EOS 500D, CPC800, @ F\6.3. Guided with using ZWO 80mm Scope + ASI120MM

Stacked in DSS and processed in PS CS2

That's a great effort for your first attempt at a DSO!

Thanks John, Im really pleased with it, took awhile (a long while) getting the guiding rig working properly, drove me crazy, but it was all worth it in the end

I had a crack that this earlier in the year. My effort is below. Your guiding is still out slightly but it's a great first effort. Well done!
