What you will need is dependent on what all comes included with the Micro. They may enclose a good length of A-V Cable. If not, you will need same. And you will need a good frame-grabber - MallinCam makes 2 models themselves - and they are excellent. You may need to look into focal-reducers, if you plan on using a 'slow' scope. Such as an F/10 SCT. With a series of spacers and a commercial focal-reducer, as well as various adaptors to fit them properly. In this way, you can get an F/10 SCT down to a F/3.3:

The above is an excellent guide to drag you through a How-To.

I'd suggest a good, slow wander through the MallinCam website for greater detail on what it comes with:

MallinCam is a name that many people associate with Top-Of-The-Line video-cams, and for very good reason. Rock Mallin actually assembles each and every one of them. Regardless of their price. And he signs his name to each and every one.

I would suggest a remote control cable as well - especially if you fingers are large as the menu control is very awkward please you then get vibration. Plus you can do it remotely from a nice warm room if length of cables allow. I have a LN300 which I believe is the base of the Micro but MR M does many "improvements".

Hello Jules,

Yes the Micro is a great little camera and you can't wrong with the support from Rock Mallin.  He popped on to one of my broadcast's once and spent an hour helping me with the camera settings!  Have a look at this video for an idea of what it can do though there are much better examples out there on the web.  The Micro is the top right camera in the image and was used on an ED80 Equinox.

All the best
