Back after a couple of years

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I've not been on for a couple of years. Lost my wifeto cancer and lost interest in almost everything. But had the scope out the other night. And enjoyed getting to grips with it. TThere's so much I have to re learn. So onwards and upwards.

Welcome back Kevdan. Sounds like you have been through the mill a bit, but the stars are still there (above the cloud somewhere :) )

Hope you continue to enjoy re-starting the hobby.

My deepest condolences for your tragic loss. Unfortunately, I know the territory of such a loss myself. And the lifting of the following depression - much to slowly it always seems.

If you would like any help with getting back into astronomy, I'm sure you know that you are in the right place. We are here to help people, as that is the nature of SGL. If you ever just need to communicate with someone, you can feel free to send me a message.

Hey, welcome back, and I'm sure you will find any support you need readily at hand on here.  I myself took a break following a traumatic experience 2 years ago, and it's only been this last fortnight have I de-mothballed my refractor and DSLR setups to venture out again.  Finding my interest to use as a distraction from bad and troubling times, and stop myself from falling back into the dark heavy abyss, has proved successful.  So again, welcome back, and I look forward to hearing about your progress through the skies. Nat :) xx

Once again thank you, I didn't realise id got so much stuff, I even found a QHY8 camera that I remember buying, It's never been used. 2 yr old hope it still works Lol. the Neq6 still works fine, and to see Venus and Jupiter again the other night was inspiring once more, pity I've missed the best of the dark winter nights and my favourite Nebula in Orion, only because it was the first I ever captured ok with my old QHY5,

But once more Thanks guys and girls.

Kev
