Hi,

i'm still struggling to getting used to the camera with the telescope as i was used use only the camera with the mount.

Can you guys post a picture of how you place it over the telescope?

i'm trying to do the darv method with it but i can't make it move horizontally, just diagonally.

thank you.

I don't think my setup will be of any use to you :)

If you can't get a horizontal line spend a few seconds taking a shot whilst moving back and forth in RA quickly. That then becomes your base line. With DARV, I don't think a horizontal line is essential as you jut need to measure the width of the V

You have to rotate the camera so that it is aligned along RA and Dec. This is easy. Do it first just by eye and then take a five second sub while slewing slowly in RA or Dec. This will make a star trail angled according to how the camera is now. Rotate and try again until the star trail is horizontal or vertical.
