That's lovely. Haven't managed to see this one this time round but usually have difficulty getting a clean split unless conditions are tip top.

I was surprised to get it last night. The main star was a bit of a mess but the colours were good and the split was clear.

This was a first for me after probably 50 goes.

The moon sometimes seems to take a bit of the glare off a bright partner.

Yes, my high mag stars don't look much like Avtar's sketch.

Nice log Avtar. This was 2nd on my list saturday night, lovely sight in my 127edt. Cant beat nice round bulkseye images in a refractor, my mak 180 theorically should be good for doubkes but it doesnt give a clean image like my refractors

For this sketch I used my Skywatcher Explorer 150PL f8 Reflector - I would say that it's almost as good as my 120 ED Refractor on doubles .
