SteveA
I've been on the lookout for something like this for a while to give me a bit more security for my observatory. Currently on offer at Maplins for only £12.99, it seems like a cheap way of possibly deterring theives. http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/compact-pir-alarm-vw62s
alan potts
I use three B&Q shed alarms that I brought back from UK, they make a hell of a racket, same sort of thing and at 13 quid you can't go wrong. The only trouble is with here being much colder than England you have to keep on top of the battery use, I find the copper colour top ones are the best.Alan
SteveA
Yep..I've got on of the B&Q shed alarms on the door of my obsy already and the batteries have lasted right through the winter...only last night did they pack up. As you say it makes a right old racket. It was the batteries packing up on this that made me think I should another alarm and I've often worried that alarming just the door was an issue. Just installed the Maplins PIR ...now twice as much of a din!
