Looking to upgrade mount, have a few questions.

Recommended Posts

So i have an Orion Starblast 6 its my first scope and i really love it. The mount however leaves a lot to be desired as far as stability and small smooth adjustments I've been looking at getting the Orion AstroView EQ mount with the included computerized tracking system all i need to know is will this fit properly with my scope or is it too large/small?

I will provide links to each so you guys can see the specs on both items for yourselves.

any input would be extremely helpful, thanks a ton!

It looks like an ok pairing. The mount is rated to 12# for imaging use, the limit would be around 6#. Add up the weight of the instrument with finder, and any future accessories. Decide if you staying with observing. Do the math.
