Hi all,

tonight the clouds vanished and I spent a nice evening watching and sketching the moon. After setting up the telescope I figured out that the lower Imbrian crater Cassini literally smiled on me smile.gif!

Telescope: Martini 10" f/5 Dobsonian

Eyepiece: Skywatcher Planetary 5mm

Date & Time: Mar 27th, 2100-2145 CET

Place: home terrace, Dusseldorf region, Germany

Technique: chalk, charcoal and white pastel on black sketching cardbox paper

Especially with those craters with relatively low rims, one needs to sketch quick since the shadows change pretty fast. During the time I did the sketch, the shadows became smaller and more of the interior of the crater appeared.

Clear skies

Achim
