25/03 Piccolomini (and Rupes Altai at sunrise)

Only managed four AVI's on the 25th. This was the pick of them. Quite a nice view of the crater, and the sun just starting to highlight the scarp. Usual set-up, 300 frames from over 2000. lowered the gain (by accident), so think it might be slightly cleaner....or it might just be my eyes! Thanks for looking.

Lovely image as we've come to expect from you Steve.

I was looking at this feature last night and followed all of the scarp but unfortunately it was very breezy so had to wait for steady moments to get a good view.

Great image. I always enjoy looking at your Lunar images.

I was going to do some lunar imaging on the 25th but decided to try and get a final image of the Orion Nebula on my new WO Star 71. Big mistake as it had sunk far lower in the sky than I had realised, the exposures were truly horrid and unusable.

Thanks Michael, Ash, Alan, Droogie, Luc, Steve and Jules.  Not sure how this was that good, as when I shot it, the moon was fairly low, and the dew was setting in. Appreciate the kind words.

That is a superb image Steve! Beautiful detail and processing with an excellent presentation. A pleasure to view

                                                            Best regards,
