the problem i am having is no matter what the FLO 2 inch adapter will not fit into the focuser?

any help or advice would be appreciated

Does the nose piece screw into the eos ring?

Do you have a 2" focus tube?

Have you released all he screws and compression rings on the focus tube?

Hi Jambouk

yes the nose piece screws in to the EOS T-ring

yes i have 2 inch focus tube

all screws released, not sure what you mean by compression rings?

Take a picture of your focus tube for us. So you other 2" things wh ich will fit in?

Sometimes there is a compression ring wich sits i side a groove inside the end of the focus tube, and the screws on the outside push on it and the ring tightens around what is ever inserted inside the focus tube and grasps it. But not all have this. Otherwise it is usually just a screw or two which pushes directly on to what is ever inside thefocus tube.

Hi James

Mine is the the last one you explained, just 2 screws which push onto what is inserted

It mught be that the nose piece has been mis-engineered and is outaide the tolerances of the focus tube. But i suapect there is a more simple explanation.

Will it go in a small amount? Or not even a bit?

Measured the internal diameter of the part nearest the telescope that your adapter should slide into.

50.1mm if your adapter's external diameter is greater than this, it won't fit and a call to FLO will be required.

Do you have anything else with a female 2" slot, like a 2" barlow or star diagonal (unlikely with a newtonian), if so does it fit in this?

I have a 2 inch eye piece adapter and that goes straight in

I know this kind of set up works just not on mine at the moment,

while at SGLX i got chatting with Dr Ju-Ju who had the same setup on his scope and he even let me try his 2 inch adapter on my camera and it went straight into the focus tube no problem, hence the reason i bought mine from FLO as soon as i got back

JemC:  What is your focuser?  Is there a threaded ring on the top of the focuser that might be just a tad too small?  These inexpensive photo accessories may be cheap imports with poor quality control and/or sub-par machining, so they may have to send you one that actually fits.

Have you brought the focuser right out? Does it not fit then?

I can't see why a 1.25" to 2" adapter should fit, but not this nose piece if they are the same diameter. Does the nose piece go in as far as the other adapter is deep?

On the above focuser photo, the outer diameter is actually bigger than the nose piece, the nose piece only goes in upto the lip marked with arrow which makes me think that the nose piece is ok but the piece with the 2 scews in it is the wrong type?

Or a shorter adapter. FWIW neither of my SW have the lip that you arrow above. But the original SW 2" EP adapter only slides in by approx 1cm before being stopped.

You could conlude that the part on your telescope is incorrect especially as it would appear to be acting as a step down ring in the light train as it is less than 2" dia.

What you have on yours sounds like what i need on mine,

did you purchase them separate from the ota or did they come with it?

any chance you know where i could purchase one?
