IC443 Gemini- three subs totaling 720s, GSO F4 Imaging Newtonian (working at F2.9 UNGUIDED), Fuji IS Pro DSLR @ ISO3200, dark sky site in Mid Wales.

That's beauty of working at F2.9 - image a whole bunch of objects in a single session (I'm only one third of the way through proceesing all the images- there's more to follow!)

I had a crack at this target earlier in the year. The result is posted below. I am aiming to do a proper mosaic in the summer- if I ever get a fine night!

Nice effort.

Whilst the main nebula is quite bright, there is a lot of interesting faint detail which I find harder to capture.

The fainter details can be captured with narrow band filters. This is an excellent target for narrow band imaging. I want to look at producing a mosaic when I get the weather conditions.
