Northern Lights from Norway

We were in Tromso for 4 days and it was cloudy the first 3 nights. So to see the Aurora on our first attempt was incredible and well timed luck. There's plenty to do around Tromso during the day too, boat trips, dog sledding or just enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Pondus, we went to a place called Sommarøy about an 1½ hours from Tromso. On the way back about 1am the sky suddenly lit up all green and we pulled over to look at the shimmering curtains of light. And as quickly as the night sky lit up then it started to fade again

come to think of it if the aurora was orange then it would look like our light pollution wouldn't it.
