looking around the edge - Mare Marginis/Smythii

Don't know if you've noticed the favourable libration of the [classic] west limb near Mare Crisium over the current lunation with Mare Marginis and Mare Smythii clear of the limb enabling us to see a little more of the moon normally hidden.  My pics of Feb 23/ Mar 3 [last night] show the effect.

Note how the moon has rotated anti-clockwise over the days between each pic - my camera remained on the scope unmoved over that period!  Hope its of interest :police:

Very nice illustration of libration and surprising the extent of the rotation. Until recently i assumed that libration was just a two dimensional east/west wobble, but in fact it's east/west, north/south and clockwise/anticlockwise over a period.
