jaygpoo
So I have put up a few of my DSO studies over the 3yrs I have been trying to image some of the easy M targets . So here's M31 over a few years . My first cannon camera D500 shots and more lately my QHY8L images. Things without doubt have improved but I still have a long way to go with software ie deep sky stakker/ photoshop . Notice the light pollution in the first and my light pollution filter later with the cannon and the last 2 images are ccd . So if you have had what feels like so many wasted nights that heart and don't give up as my great image achievements are starting to appear in photo frames around the house to impress visitors and YES to show off. Stick at it and enjoy. Clear skies to all. Jay
tingting44
Wow such an improvement! Your 2'nd to last shot does not look far off what my 10 min subs look like of andromeda"! Stack them kind of subs together and you will indeed have something special
jaygpoo
Yes I am working on taking different lengths of exposures to help get better definition when putting the images together in photoshop. Ie short 30 sec to get the core and longer for the main image and the blend the images but not easy to know what to do when you only have odd youtube videos to help but this forum have been helpful. My only problem is that I have always learnt best by seeing something being done rather than reading how to do it. However I have managed to come a long way in the last 3yrs with LIGHT YEARS TO GO !!!!!!!! jay
swag72
An interesting look at how you have improved over time in both processing and image capture - Well done

chris285
Great progress, 5th shot looks similar to some efforts i've had with my 1100d as some initial tests with unguided on my NEQ6 and Skywatcher ED80
jaygpoo
Try guiding. Its great fun and you will pull all your hair out trying ti focus on a star or get the software to lock on but when you do its a result. Are you using eqmod with your Neq6 mount?
