MikeP
Has anyone used one of these as a pier - they look quite similar to Pier-Tech piers? I'd like to know how stable they are.Their very helpful staff assure me that at least one person bought one for that purpose but they were unable to find any contact details for them.Mikehttp://www.actuators-electric.co.uk/electric-linear-actuators/alpha-lifting-column/

Xplode
Looks like an interesting alternative to the Pier tech (Linak) collumns.Any idea what it costs?
MikeP
Hi Ole,They sell an Alpha Column Medium and an Alpha Column Large. The larger one having a larger cross-section.I got a couple of prices for the medium one just to get an idea of cost and the quoted prices included carriage, VAT and the cost of a controller and a handset - basically everything you need. The price depends on the amount of travel (stroke) so the quotes I got were for 500mm stroke - £710 and for 900mm stroke - £1,254.Mike
