Hello!

Great place you have here, I've already found lots of great info and advice in a short amount of time.

Located in Ithaca, NY in the US....luckily its only cloudy here 85% of the time ;)

Have you got a scope or are you thinking of going to NEAF, April 18+19.

That is a place to spend serious money.

I'm thinking about it now :) The kids astronomy event looks fun too for my little ones...

I have a couple of things....I just got into this hobby in October 2014...I've been moving and acquiring fast!

First scope was: Celestron 114 EQ

Then I bought a new OTA: Celestron C6

Then I realized I needed a bigger mount: Celestron CG4

Then I wanted to take pictures so I got dual motors

Then I wanted to take better pictures so I modded the hand controller to have guiding

Then I wanted to have GoTo so I bought a used Orion Sirius (heq5)

Currently I used the following setup:

Orion Sirius EQ-G (with EQ Mod)

Celestron C6

Celestron f6.3 Focal Reducer

Canon T3 (unmodded) with SCT T Adapter

Not In Use Yet:

Orion Helical Guide Scope

Xbox cam modded to use as a guider

Future / On the way:

Orion SSAG Cam

Orion Off-Axis

JMI Motofocus 

Shoestring Astronomy USB Focus Control

I have it all setup so that I can control the entire operation from my family room with the exception of setup and focus....but the focus will be also controlled remote by next week! I should be ready to control the entire operation minus setup just as the weather warms up, lol.
