SGLX Pitch Updates - 2nd March - IMPORTANT CHANGE

Grant

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Please find attached a pitch plan showing the allocations for all bookings so far.

Lucksall have just informed me of an important change - over the winter Kingfisher 1-10 have been turned into hardstanding pitches, these are suitable for tents still and mean you don't have to move your tent after 4 nights but, if anybody on those pitches would prefer to move to a grass pitch, we still have some spare grass pitches elsewhere but please PM me as soon as possible!

I have done my best to accommodate everyone's choices and where I couldn't give people their exact choice I have put them as close as I could.

There were a couple whether the pitch choice didn't match the type of booking required i.e. asking for a tent pitch when you booked for a hard standing so I've just had to make a good judgement on these.

If your name isn't in the list, but you think you've booked please PM me your details and I will take a look.

There are still some of each type of pitch left but, not many so if you want to come, you need to book by Wednesday 4th March at Midnight!

Cheers,

Grant

The hard standing still works with tent pegs from last year's experience. The only thing I would suggest is a large halfords tarp doubled up under to ensure no sharp edges go through the tent ground sheet. Oh.. and a mallet/puller.

I was too late to book a hardstanding in the rally Field for my caravan, so have just booked direct with the site and obtained No33 on the main part of the site. My wife and I will be there from Thurs to Mon. Did'nt want to miss the SGL X as it will probably be our farewell visit - our caravanning days are coming to an end this year sad to say.

Looking forward to meeting many old friends.

Hi Grant,

I am currently on Buzzard 41 from Thursday to Sunday. I have just booked Wednesday on SGL and left you a message there to say I am happy to stay on the same pitch. I then came to this thread and see that Kingfisher 1-10 are now hard-standing and that Kingfisher 5 is empty. If it is OK with you could I move to that pitch please as I am now bringing a camper van so hard standing would be preferable to grass?

Cheers

Derek

Sorry Derek but 5 has already been gone - there has been a few changes happening and I've not had chance to update the allocation list yet.

Kingfisher 4 is available though so I have put you there, hope that's OK.

Cheers,

Grant

Here is the most up to date, and potentially final draft of the pitch allocation plan.

There have been a few changes as a result of the conversion of 1-10 to hard standing that has meant a bit of shuffling around. The upshot is everyone is a bit closer together with nobody on the periphery which is nice :)

If anybody still wants to move or change, please let me know as soon as possible. I will be printing the welcome packs next week which are going to be assigned to people/pitches and will contain food tickets, name badges etc.. so any pitch changes after these are printed will be a bit of a pain!

Cheers,

Grant
