1st Photo taken using new set up

Inbetween the clouds tonight I managed to take my 1st ever photo of the moon using my new set up.

I tweaked the lighting in faststone image viewer ( a freebie software App).

Picture taken using a Canon 1200D and a SW ED80 Apo at iso 200.

I'm as new to this as can be so still learning and experimenting.

 Any feedback appreciated

That's a real nice first image, I'd be very happy with that. :)

Your focus looks good and your contrast is excellent.

One thing with lunar shots I tend to underexpose so the image is a bit more dim you can always brighten it after. Maybe next time just try a little quicker exposure but you are definitely on the right track.

Great image!

Very nice. Agree with Jarrod, the exposure is slightly (and I mean slightly) over, but the focus is pretty much spot on. It really is a slippery slope this imaging lark...welcome to the dark side.

Many thanks for the feedback.

I will do some more experimenting re the overexposure and hopefully in time get it right.

The ED80 is a really nice peice of kit and it really is leading me to the dark side
