Quick shot of Jove with 4 moons on show (just about!). Think i have over done the processing a little but will have another go at it at some point.

Cheers Knobby. Nope just one run...LRGBl, but usually I run through PIPP and it cuts them off. so just did a stack without PIPP up front.

The detail looks superb. Was this the image scale when you captured it? if so, you may like to try 1.5x drizzle when stacking. Looking at this, I get the impression that there is more to get out of this image.

Is that LRGBI as in Infra Red? 

I haven't had much luck with a luminance plane this year so have just been shooting RGB.

Robin, Sorry...it is a typo. LRGB only.... Also its all channels taken within 2:30 seconds swapping filters manually, starting stopping captures...one day I will teach myself WINjupos !

Nick, thanks yes it was. I will do as you suggest and see if I can tease any more out. though last time it did increase the noise quite a lot. I do have the other run to process, but I am working in the garden today!....just come in for a spot of lunch!

I took Nicks advice and tried a drizzle...then a quick RGB balance and crop in PS. one of the moons has also faded somewhat!

Great work! Maybe separate the planet and the moons in different layers for a composite. I really liked the moons in the earlier processing, AND the drizzled jupiter from the 2nd processing. Superb.
