Solar Filters

Hi all

I am trying to embarck on the 20th Of march to take a few images of the eclipse. On the Day I was planning to use my SW ST 102. What is the best way to get images from this and using for viewing ?

Baader filters paper or somthing else ?

Either make one yourself with baader film, or buy a pre-made one off ebay/amazon.

Be quick as i guess stocks will be depleted as everyone else gets the idea.

Orderd the filter paper already. Just thinking or the pre mades may be easyer

You could sell on the baader film probably if you wanted to go down that route.

Thanks just trying to see if I can get a 4.25 " one was told to get the next size up fropm aouther website ST 102 is 4 " so the 4.25 shoule be ok.

Baader now do some pre made ones on their astrosolar.com. com website. I've got one for my c9.25 to replace my home made bucket attempt which didn't work out too well.

Its really easy to make one and there are loads of threads on here to show you how to do this, just make sure its safe

I'll be using a SW Startravel 102 too but with a Herschell wedge. I have a horrible feeling the the clouds may outdo any filter on a scope though!
