After looking at posts , went to shop only to here its not in till May.

I really don't get it that Nikon chose this model to mod; its way to expensive and now is directly competing with dedicated (cooled!) astrocameras. For this amount of money you could easily get a D610, get it modified AND cooled and it would still be way cheaper.

I see it as no wires or computer to use it . I allways use Nikon up till starting this them got a Canon , so I said when Nokon do  1 for asto  I put my name down . every thing lose money over time.

I'm with the sceptics, it's a poor daytime camera and for that kind of money you can buy a waaay superior, cooled CCD for astrophotography.
