Sorry, too lazy to look through them all, but 9 listed for Hampshire:

There are a few people from SGL that way also.

Also get someone to remove your email from the post, usually not a great idea to advertise it and there are PM's internal to SGL for messages, even if you end up PM'ing your email to someone.

Welcome Richard. Going along to an astro group is definitely the way to go. You'll get an idea which particular aspects of astronomy appeal to you before investing in any equipment.

In the meantime, keep looking up and learning your way around the night sky.

There's a free download called "Stellarium" which many of us on here find invaluable.
