eqmod, first steps taken........

Have been thinking of going down this route for a while now, so yesterday I installed the Ascom platform and CdeCiel.

I have now opened myself another great big can of worms !

I know there are many users of said programmes on here, so was wondering if anyone knows of a definitive guide to help me on my way ?

Also am I right in thinking that I can use my shoestring GPUSB to control the mount ?

Anyway, time for bed, just come in after a very long night shift.

Yup - if you're doing ASCOM, then EQMOD I'd look at OpenPHD and AstroTortilla (plate solving).. not long before you start strapping a camera to it.. then it's all down hill from there
