Hey all,

My first image in 2 years, so glad to get back into it.....although I had to go through the learning process again after such a break

Taken with a Skywatcher ED80, Canon 6D (unmodded) and mounted on NEQ6. 30 2 min subs with darks and flats.

Gorgeous.

I just *love* the little chain of stars falling below Alcyone - never get tired of looking at em. Lovely colours and such delicacy in that chain....beautiful.

The 6D is a very capable camera for astro.. Fantastic results with delicate processing

I editied your post to put the Flickr! info below the pics...Since they moved to the single line dialog for grabbing the BBcode you have to manual edit it yourself to get it to display properly on the forum...

Yes that's a very nice capture.

Personally I prefer the uncropped version: really shows off the size of that 6D sensor which costs a small fortune to replicate with a CCD...

Yes there are, I just wish I exposed for longer now to capture more of the faint stuff. I thought 2 min would be enough without blowing out the brighter stars. Next time!
