First Solar Image

Finally got around to introducing my Canon 600d to my Celestron C8N last night.

Didn't know what I was doing to start with but got this after a bit of practice and took some photos of the Moon and Orion nebular later that night.

Its a single shot that has been cropped. Using an Astrozap Baader solar filter.

That is a good image (behind those pesky clouds!!). Well focussed and the exposure seems about right too.

Very nice first shot. Getting good focus is not easy. Now all we need is for these :cussing: clouds to ......... <deep breath>
