At least you got out there to see it! :)

I got up at 0330 to view it through my newly acquired 10" revelation dob from Portchester, Hants. I am not very experienced with using such a big telescope (my last was a 6" Newt), but I saw the first two shadows transiting until they caught up with each other.

I guess the seeing where I was was was varying between poor to medium - I could rarely make out more detail on Jupiter than the main cloud belts and often I could not even make out Io's shadow!

I confirmed the poor seeing by attempting a to check my collimation with a star test on Vega - All I saw was a shimmering mess. lol.

Excellent drawings. You must have fantastic patience to capture the changes over such a long time period. I managed to get to a decent site near Haddington, Scotland, where the sky remained clear, but wind and poor seeing meant I could only clearly discern one shadow. It has made me more aware of this kind of event and I will try to catch more transits in the future.
