Your Quark is looking a sweet performer, fab detail, look forward to seeing how you get on with a flat. I always use flats too with my Quark, I move to the centre, just a quick defocus and record fewer frames as you don't need as many for a flat. In my case I need to use a flat anyway because my camera gives two bands, one at top and one at bottom, when imaging in h-alpha, so the flat takes care of that too.

Great job on the reprocess, wow!

Very nice detail in those shots. LR deconvolution beats smart sharpen in my books. Flats are essential in solar H-alpha, I find. Note however, that I normally stack a large number of frames (1500) to suppress any photon noise in the flat. I have never tried smaller numbers, but as this works, why bother changing it?
