PST Imaging software

Hi all, I have recently received a Coronado PST Doublet and today being the first clear day where I can actually see the Sun, I am looking to try my hand at imaging. I have Sharpcap, but it really does not seem to be up for the job, or at least not for me anyway.

I was wondering if there are any other free CCD Imaging software that I could use for Solar Imaging please?

I can't see why SharpCap wouldn't be up to the job, but FireCapture also works.

When I got my new camera I upgraded from sharpcap to firecapture and haven't looked back. It's free too.

At first I was a bit daunted by the extra features but it doesn't take long to come to terms with it and there are lots of tutorials online now for firecapture. I would give that one a go.

Many thanks both, I will give fire capture a go now I think. Having trouble focusing with the doublet at the moment. looking for tutorials but cannot seem to find anything.

+1 for FireCapture. Regarding coming to focus, some PSTs seem to need a Barlow or PowerMate to come to focus

A short nose piece on the camera may help you come to focus (get the hacksaw out!) and it is possible to turn a bit off the top of the eyepiece holder of the PST.
