I recently got a modded Canon 1200d and decided to have a go at IC 1805 on the 28th December. I took a selection of subs from 300s to 600secs all at 800ISO using BYE and run through DSS and Paint Shop Pro. I wanted to check the guiding out at different timings and even the 600s subs showed nice round stars. All using the ED80.

No too bad a result I thought for about 3 hours total exposure.
