answer how do start ccd camera and puting in your telescope

Recommended Posts

Take eyepiece out, put ccd in, refocus.

That is a bit over simplified but it is a case of one or the other.

Refocusing means outputting the image to a PC for viewing and as it is likely to be dim many use a Bhartinov mask to get a better defined focus.

You can set things up such that a specific eyepiece and the ccd sensor are sort  of "parfocal" so that when you drop that eyepiece in then change to the ccd the focal planes are much the same. Usually means bits of tube on the eyepiece.

If you are going imaging then you need a driven equitorial mount preferably goto and polar scope.

You may also be better getting a heavier mount now for future expansion.

A mount that takes as scope now and tracks fine is one thing but adding a guide scope and camera and other accessories adds weight. Meaning a mount now could be too lightweight soon.

Could I politely remind members that here on SGL We strive to help all members in this wonderful hobby regardless of experience level or questions asked.

Posting  sarcastic comments helps no one. We all have to start somewhere and this section is for "getting started with imaging"

Thank you.

To the OP. Perhaps a more expansive question on exactly what kind of help you are after may help you here :)
