Wood Wonders Eyepiece Case

I posted a picture of some eyepieces in another part of the forum, and a member asked me if I had posted my eyepiece case in this forum.  I hadn't, so here it is...

It's custom made of solid oak by the guy at Wood Wonders. http://www.wood-wonders.com/Eyepiece.htm

It has a set of small red LED's that illuminate the case when the lid is opened.  There is a dimmer/on-off switch to control the lights.

Ron at Wood Wonders has several eyepiece trays available, but will build a custom one (mine is) to make it the way you want it... no extra charge.

The storage area in the lid is plexiglass and is excellent for logbook, Sky Atlas, Planisphere, etc.

The workmanship is incredible.  I can't make an "X" outta two Popsicle sticks, so was doubly impressed.

You can also pick the stain color, as each case is custom-built.

Nice case you have there, and it gives me inspiration.

I inherited my dad's electronics tool box (DIY wood) when I was 11. I've used it for various purposes most of my life, but will now convert it into an EP case, if I can find some 'hard' foam. 

He would have been pleased.

I love the colour, and yes its not always cheap to make a simple box, once the sections start to go in and then the hardware and lighting, i may do one this summer just need to finish the EP collection so the size can be worked out.....well done nice job.....
