NEQ6 Power Mod Question

Hi All,

I am doing my power mod tonight on my NEQ6 and wanted to put a rubber O-ring between the 2way socket and the mount plate on the outside.

I am doing this for 3 reasons really.

1, to help weatherproof when dewy.

2, to help keep some tension on the socket nut on the back so when attaching the power cable it will not twist on the plate.

3, to raise the inside part of the socket further away from the circuit board.

Do any of you foresee and problems with this idea please?

Thanks.

The main issue I had was to ensure that the back distance of the power socket in the EQ6 didn't hit the circuit board.

I have now drilled and attached the socket with the O-ring and it has given me a good space between the socket pins and the circuit board. I was going to solder last night but I had a little too much vin rouge for it to be advisable.
