Inspired by Atreta's fine work, Made from 11 x 300second subs (unguided). !00mm Tokina macro @ f/5, ISO 400. A crop and stacked in DSS using 2x drizzle.

you caught some nice detail, you can notice even the horse head nebula.

how do you align your mount to get 300 sec unguided, you do drift alignment?

My alignment could be better. I use the polar scope and a 3 star alignment. If I then go to something and it's off, I re-align. I've done several tunings of the mount. One would probably have been enough, but I've never had a mount before, and this isn't a GEM, so a little different. I'm sure at this FL I can get longer subs. I just got this lens back from re-collimation. It was midnight and I was getting cold. Now that I see the potential, I'll do more.

Ohh, and sorry about the purple color. The original was 10Mb and it wouldn't load, When I scaled it back to this size the purple showed up.
