Orion M42

We had a great session last night looking at various objects in Orion. M42 was just amazing, there was so much detail visible. My 7 year old daughter was inspired to try and sketch what she could see.

I also managed to observe M78, NGC1973, NGC1980, NGC1999, NGC 2022 (a small planetary which was hard to find).

I finished off with Sirius B, I could see a very faint star very close to Sirius with my 9mm EP (200X magnification) and quick look at Jupiter.

A really enjoyable session, thank you for reading.
