Sunspot Constellation, 16th Dec

Ahem, due to lack of night time observing, I am starting to see sunspots as constellations. I think this is a sort of Cepheus/Auriga as the main group, and that's Gemini heading out of sight. Fab to see so many spots on the disc and it was a great sight through the eyepiece :laugh:

Thanks, all! I am hoping to cure my constellationitis tonight if the forecast is to be believed! First stop will be the Orion nebula if the clouds play fair :laugh: Trouble is, I have a dodgy knee at the mo, but I really wanna haul out the 16 inch dob... Awwww. Painkillers, I reckon.

Dave, I see forecast has improved for our way, so there is now talk of some clear for the weekend sun. Though that lovely disc is gonna be so low!! :eek:
