SGLX - Pitch Allocations

Grant

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Please find attached a pitch plan showing the allocations for all bookings so far.

I have done my best to accommodate everyone's choices and where I couldn't give people their exact choice I have put them as close as I could.

There were a couple whether the pitch choice didn't match the type of booking required i.e. asking for a tent pitch when you booked for a hard standing so I've just had to make a good judgement on these.

If your name isn't in the list, but you think you've booked please PM me your details and I will take a look.

Cheers,

Grant

Yes but same rules apply - you will need to move your tent after every 4 nights.

If anybody who is staying more than four nights and doesn't want to move their tends wants to be on a hard standing instead please let me know and I can try and have a shift around.

Good reminder - thanks Nick :)

I've booked a pitch for caravan + power (we have a VW transporter) but will also have a tent and 3m x 3m gazebo.

I couldn't load the website to give me the pitch numbers as it wouldn't respond, so I haven't put one on the order.

I assume the van doesn't have to be on a caravan pitch, it can still go on the grass?

Last year I was on a hard standing pitch with a tent. The pitch has a grass section as part of it.

Tent work well on the hard pitch - no problem with tent pegs, although we had a river vole run along the bank and make a beeline for our food bags at night. Not had that on the grass standings in the few years previously. I'd put a big tarp underneath, then I had a ground sheet, then the tent's inbuilt groundsheet.

Considering the heavy wind and thunderstorm rain on the first night of the week (when there were only a few hardy souls), the hard standing was quite a good thing!

I think you are probably best on a hard standing pitch because if it's wet and muddy then Lucksall would probably want your Transporter on a hard standing pitch anyway so it's best to go for a hard standing to start with...

PM me if you have a particular preference, there are a few hard standings left either in the main bit or on the riverbank...

Any updates Grant ??

Sorry - not had chance to post up the updated allocations but don't worry - everybody who has booked so far has a pitch :)

You are Buzzard 28.

I'm trying to ascertain if there are some more hard standing pitches available at the moment and will update here if there are. There are still plenty of tent pitches though electric or non-electric.

Cheers,

Grant

blimey

I have just noticed that kingfisher is the 'mod zone'

do we have to wear fishtail coats and have our hair in flicks?

Hmm looks like two mods have been banished to Buzzard.. must but their reputation for hazing and consumption of breakfasts..

Is it true there are some hardstandings left, I tried to book but site would not accept 2 cards and paypal ?

Hi Steve,

There are hardstanding pitches left. I've just checked the system and can see your attempts to place the order, but cannot see any errors to suggest why they failed.

All I can suggest is trying again, and if it still fails please contact me via FLO and I will do my best to assist personally.

Kindest Regards,

Grant
