The best barlow which is value for money is the TAL 2x or 3x, but sadly they have been discontinued a couple of yrs ago.

Celestron "shorties" seem to be well liked.

I have a Revelation 1.5-2x which is about £35 and i really cant say if it is good or not because i have not used it since i bought it. I gave up on barlows a few yrs ago and went down the path of dedicated focal length eyepieces.

I have a bresser sa x2 barlow it cost about £80 new  and i have had cheap barlows in the past which i havent got on with. Just a thought but if you just want to magnify an image without moving the eye relief a teleextender may be the way to go all the ones I have seen are very good. if you need to give yourself more eye relief then the barlow is the one to get but get a good one  probably in the £90-£200 range. I think the bresser is about £110 now by the way the bresser appears to be a teleextender not a barlow

To many eyepieces says my bank account!!

Can you list all of your eyepieces and people here can advise you whether or not you actually need a barlow.

I think one thing we all can agree on here is that we all have too many eyepieces.

I don't
