Hello All,after the sucess of Galloway Autumn ,i am pleased to announce The Galloway Gathering 2015.

The Star Camp will take place from  Thursday 19th Feb 2015---- Monday 23rd Feb and will follow the same format.

A pie and pea supper has been suggested as an icebreaker,and why not?       .

If folks want to stay longer before/after i am sure Lesley will try to accomodate you.

Please book early as there have been so many enquiries.

Hi Davy,timelapse but to my knowledege no video photographers,if i`m wrong someone will put me right,it would be great to have your branch of astronomy represented ,we are always eager for new challenges,

You are more than welcome to book in,although just how you will make sure that the dates coincide with your one day a year   of mischief will be a hard act to follow?

Seriously it is well worth the trip and if the ordered clear skies appear you will enjoy yourself.

The campsite is great, well presented and Lesley and Ralph do their utmost to protect the dark conditions .

I have just before Christmas sold my scope so unless I attend with the 9x50 finder scope there won't be much in the way of Gazing going off on my pitch.

Will miss the socializing though. I'll just have to concentrate on getting the scope ready for the Autumn gathering.

May still make the trip yet but it will be worth it for those with scope's

Hope to make a booking in the next few days. Only able to make the Fri & Sat nights. I will say one thing, I am certainly going to buy a big screw to put into the ground and a turn-buckle to hold my mount and scope in place. Can't be doing with the wind blowing my kit over again, got away with it once, don't think I will again.

Looking forward to meeting some people that were at the Nov party again and some new faces

Your more than welcome to use me Obsession if  yer getting withdrawal symptoms   if we get clear cold nights it will be well worth the trip up, scope or not.,can easily rig up a dew heater on the big bins,so you`ve got no exscuse for not coming   .

Just hope  the weather plays ball.
