Pleiades - Another One!

Hi all

I tried imaging M45 with guiding on Sunday. Taken with my ED80 on the AVX and canon 550d- 10 lights of 240secs ISO800 and 2 darks.

The blue nebulosity shows ok but not that pleased really. The skies did not clear until about 21:00 and I did not want to be out too long so only an hours worth of imaging once set up and the Polar Alignment was not perfect. Comments welcomed.

Just out of interest I thought Wessex ceased to be with William I ?

Very nice nebulosity. I only wonder why it is so purple - is it my laptop screen (typical TN) or your postprocessing (maybe White Balance)?

Def processing, a little less with the Magenta maybe.

Haha devolution of the central state of Wessex perhaps?

Had another go at processing this one. More blue now but maybe too much?

Looks like a nice shot for only an hour Peter! The second version looks like a much better colour but yes it may be a touch too much. I would also suggest bringing the backgound up a little as it looks a bit dark. This should also uncover more nebulosity around the cluster
