Night of 23/24th Jupiter, amazing

Finally got the scope out again for a serious evening, fantastic conditions where I am.  Saw loads of stuff, with the help of the GoTo mount, M31, M1, Orions Nebula, Uranus, NGC 891 and on and on.  But, the highlight was staying up late to get a first good look at Jupiter, and what a lovely sight it was, the moons were in a particularly pleasing alignment.  Managed to get a snap with my camera just down the eyepiece and thought I would post for your delectation.

Now seriously looking forward to the triple transit, Io, Europa, Callisto on 24th January 2015, the last until 2032!

Clear Skies
