First white light

Recommended Posts

Having spent a couple of rainy days making a Baader film filter for the SCT and todays promised clear blue skies turning out to be milky white I thought I  would give it a go, need extension to get a full disc but looks promising.

I now have a triple Solar imaging rig

100mm refractor with Quark / B'Fly, LS60DS with Minitron and 10"SCT with DSLR.

Won't win any prizes, single shot ISO 200, 2000 sec through hazy cloud, focused using live view so not quite right.

Any recommended camera settings welcomed.

Dave

Good start, Dave, that's already nice. I think focus is close just a little touch off, and beyond that, stacking multiple frames if you can, but nice shot already, very promising. Love the colour.

Am trying to resist the triplet lure of CaK!

In the unlikely event it clears our way this weekend, white light is looking super cool!
