Good morning all....by gum its freezing down here in Brizzle!

Just thought i'd share with you my first ever effort of the horse head.

I had to leave my rig running, and drive to bath at 1am...my mate was stranded there, whilst his workplace back in bristol was burning down! no one hurt tho, so alls well. anyhow, here are the stats for the horsey:

The horse head & flame nebula

and around half a mile from the bright lights of Bristol City's football stadium!

guide camera: off axis guider with PHD

No big deal but you're flipped.

(I didn't know you knew Bob that well, Olly! :grin:)

Very good indeed Bob - Alnitak can be a right royal pain, but it looks as if you've got it pegged nicely here - It's quite easy to lose its "double"....  Although it's only a personal thing, I always think mono really suits the horsehead - For me it seems to bring out the "wall" behind the horsehead better, adding that extra bit of contrast but without the colour causing a distraction... however, I then get torn by the blue in the reflection nebula just below it!
