Bright meteor just gone west to east

Anyone see that, went between Betelgeuse and Pollux

Sorry for slow reply Dave, but yes, that night, time and direction I saw a bright one nearby the twins ( I only caught it by happenstance glancing out the kitchen window). Very bright and very fast. A nice accidental sight!

interesting, I was (unfortunately) on the way to hospital and happened to see a bright fireball traverse the sky from my car window, I was on a dark country road at the time and it was a fantastically clear night, at the time I dimissed it as either an internal reflection on the car window or just my sleep deprived imagination, but the time you posted this is exactly the time I was on the road so the chances are this is what I saw afterall
