Lack of stars

Hi , I used my newly acquired 314+ tonight just to test it out, I took around 10 lights of 30 sec . when I came to stack the images DSS could only find on average 6-7 stars , how do I rectify this

Load the images into dss then click check all, then click on register checked pictures, a box will apear, click the advanced Tab and move the slider down to maybe 25, then click compute the number of detected stars button, it should show more stars, if still not enough lower the slider down further and try again.

This slider is all the way down to 2% and still fails to compute more than 6 stars

If your that low then you've had it, the subs are not good enough.

plenty of data in that in my opinion,all i did was load into dss and fiddle with the rgb slider

yes, that is a single  30 sec sub, one of 20 I took, when trying to stack in DSS it states that it can stack just one image due to lack of stars

maybe adjust them all the same level 1 by 1 then try restacking? i dunno,but your subs arent wasted i don't think

No subs look fine must be some settings in dss.

Nothing wrong with either your sub or DSS, uncheck the reduce noise by applying median filter and put the slider to the left.

Re done , it was only to get to grips with the camera and it was 10 subs not 20 , so a quick process to see what I could get out of it ,
