Would the skywatcher 12mm illuminated eyepiece be sufficient to do the periodic error correction detailed in the skywatcher synscan instruction manual ,I'm using a250mm newtonian ,with a focal length of 1000mm,it does recomend at least 300x magnification ,does such an eyepiece exist? or can the 12 mm be used in conjuntion with a barlow len? Thanks for the comments, the scope is on a permanent mount in home made observstory, trying to get as accurate tracking as possible, the manual states that this is essential for astrophotography,? for my normal viewing i have no problems tracking etc, maybe that I'm over complicating things, but i think I'll look at a barlow with a illuminated reticule,Gow
