Quick H-a shot from yesterday (20th Nov)

Hi folks,

Just a quick shot from yesterday, which I have left mirrored and not flipped back right way. A bit of an experiment really and quite a lot of noise, as I used a ton of gain as there was thin cloud and the image was almost black on screen with my usual settings... I usually have gain as low as it will possibly go, and even lower than that if I can manage it

I had forgotten that I could have done 2x binning instead which makes things 4x brighter and had the gain right down, at the expense of halving the width and height - maybe I'll do that next time. But to my eyes it has sort of worked. Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Michael, Alexandra and Pete.

I have been really lucky this week, not sure how it happened, but I got images on four days out of five. I think that''s almost Steve Ward territory, just one shy.  Only a wonky lappy can stop that man...

A blank for me today but the forecast looked so bad start of the week and I've somehow ended up with a good Mon-Fri. No doubt that will mean the weekend will be completely useless like last week, I'm almost tempted to get a tabletop Merlin goto mount for my lunchtime imaging if this carries on much longer, nothing at weekends and all the action during Mon-Fri!
