Hmm... maybe I need the paid-for version? I've been meaning to get it for ages! :embarassed:

It won't break the bank at €12 for the first year and only €6 per year after that........

Best software I ever bought, superb, and Ivo is always happy to answer any questions if you send him an email, best service I have ever known from a developer.

:)

I know I know... I've just been lazy about it! Mind you, the dithering with PHD2/dslr should still work with the free version, as far as I can ascertain? As I say, works fine with ccd on heq5 syntrek but not with dslr on the AVX. I must be missing something... What though???

Hi Louise,

There is no need to buy APT just for the dithering. It is fully available in the demo version :)

Could you give more information about the problem? Is the AVX connected to the same PC? Is the PHD2 configured to be in Server Mode?

I promise I'll send you some money Ivo! :)

Ok, I have two different systems, both set to server mode, both recognise phd2 on startup, both running v4.60 of APT

I just know it's something obvious....

Oh, wait a minute..... I'm sure I had system 2 set to auto dithering on before... d'uh Aaaargh! How could I miss that!!??? Stupid Louise!!!

Tut! I've been manually dithering for ages...

I'll have to wait at least until the weekend before I can try it again.

Thanks

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks Louise!

Don't worry so much :) Everybody has such situations.  This summer spent almost a night struggling with the GoTo not seeing that forgot to enable Daylight Saving...

Ah things like daylight saving are easy to forget - doesn't compare to missing a check box! I'm getting old :(

I've ended up having a "Hints.txt" file on my desktop with things I should be careful with.

I started one of those a long time ago but it got too unmanageable. At least once some parameters are set, there's unlikely going to be a need for changing them! :)
