Wow, lovely piece of kit Denis! It'll be interesting to hear how it compares with your 20x110. I also own a 20x110 BA8 and absolutely adore the thing. Yes its very big and heavy but the views serves up are just stunning.

Today I wake up at 04,40 in morning to make some test if sky will allow me.
...and, when I waked up, sky was incredible, so clean, probably 10/10, this can be happened only few times per year.

I grab my 20*110 and 18x70 Nikon.

I was actually AMAZED with Nikon, picture was SOOO clean, and contrast so high, stars sooo pinpoint at center and still much sharper in bigger FOV than in 20*110.

I looked Orion nebula, Moon, Jupiter  :-D , and many clusters.......
All looked better in Nikon, and FOV is...HUUUGEEE  8-OO ...this helps a LOT when scaning sky, or looking objests, where for example Pleyades fits beautifully in Nikon, while not in 20*110.

I was able to see Jupiter moons without problem without using tripod...

One more intersting thing: whe looking Moon out of center, to edges,  Nikon provide almost none to none reflections, while many reflections are present in 20*110 model.

Only advantage of 20*110 model is it reveals LITTLE more stars, but stars are NOT so PINPOINT like in Nikon!

Nikons optics are really SUPERB, and made for stars!
Mechanics is also SUPERB, WAYYY better than 20*110 model.

Nikon is only cca 2kg, while 20*110 7,5kg, whics is JUST 5,5kg difference  :-P

I would really want that all you can see this precision of Nikon optics made, even on extreme corners (I am perfectionist)
I never saw such optics precision made like Nikon have, as well as mechanic precision.

I hope all you enjoy reading this, and I really recommend it to anyone who love SUPERB optics and mechanics, and beauty of design Nikon 18x70 made!

Nikon have SOUL!!!
